Separation of church and state is not a mandate, the law itself only prohibits the United States as a theocracy. The idea that you cannot have religious doctrine in a school cirriculum because it is unconstitutional is laughable--this country was founded upon religious values and in fact as a kid I remember having many posters for Christianity and other faiths in the classroom because it was important for us to learn about them to understand other points of view. Somewhere along the way they were removed from schools under this false idea that religion cannot appear in schools due to some legal or constitutional faux pas. Probably came about around the same time atheistic liberal democrats got the strangle hold they wanted on the US education system and made evolution the state-sanctioned religion.
